The Port of Xiamen has recently launched a new express service to Indonesia.

On May 18, COSCO Shipping Ports announced that Xiamen Yuanhai Terminal had officially launched the SCJX direct service to Indonesia.

Departing from Xiamen, the route stops at Nansha before proceeding directly to Jakarta, Indonesia, with a transit time of as little as seven days; it then continues on to Surabaya, with the entire journey taking approximately nine days.

Overall, the transit time remains quite competitive.

It is understood that this service is operated by container ships with a capacity of 2,400–2,900 TEUs, with a total of three vessels rotating on the route to maintain weekly service.

The operators are X-Press Feeders and Gold Star Line, both well-known in the industry.

In fact, Xiamen already had an existing route to Indonesia operated by NCI.

With the launch of the SCJX service, the two routes will now depart on Wednesdays and Sundays, respectively, offering two sailings per week.

For foreign trade companies targeting the Southeast Asian market, this change is quite practical.

Especially now that many companies are expanding their presence in the Southeast Asian market, increased route frequency will also streamline overall logistics efficiency.

With the addition of this new route, exporters in Fujian and surrounding regions now have another convenient option at their disposal.
