Maersk announces new round of peak season surcharges affecting multiple major routes

  Maersk recently announced adjustments to Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) rates on multiple routes.

  Effective November 12, 2025, Maersk will update PSS rates for the Far East to Northern Europe and Mediterranean routes. The new rates apply to shipments originating from Brunei, China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions), Indonesia, Japan, Cambodia, South Korea, Laos, Myanmar, Mongolia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

  Additionally, for Far East to Middle East routes:

  Effective November 10, PSS rates for routes from Dalian, Qingdao, Xingang, Japan, and South Korea to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will be adjusted to USD 600.

  Effective November 10, PSS for routes from Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and East Timor to the aforementioned Middle Eastern countries will be adjusted to USD 800.

  Effective November 11, PSS for routes from Vietnam to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will also be adjusted to USD 800.

  Maersk also stated that any subsequent changes will be announced separately.
