Tianjin Port Group has recently achieved a major breakthrough in smart port development. On October 10, the new-generation Container Terminal Management System (JTOS) successfully went live in an integrated deployment at Alliance International and Eurasia International, marking the system's first capability to support multi-terminal collaborative operations through a single platform.

This JTOS deployment breaks away from the traditional “one system per terminal” model by innovatively adopting a dual-terminal integration solution: “one core system + two peripheral systems.” The new system integrates equipment and data resources from both terminals through standardized interfaces, enabling efficient collaboration via a “shared operational map.” Processes previously requiring cross-system coordination—such as yard crane scheduling and domestic container transshipment—now operate seamlessly, boosting operational efficiency by over 30%.

To ensure a smooth transition, the JTOS project team conducted comprehensive testing since July, completing 19 live vessel operations tests involving over 20,000 TEUs. These tests covered all operational scenarios, including automated gantry cranes and yard cranes. The team also optimized algorithmic strategies for 287 potential issues, ensuring rapid responses to anomalies.

This breakthrough not only saves Tianjin Port from redundant construction costs but also provides a replicable “Tianjin Port Solution” for multi-terminal operations globally. Moving forward, this model is poised to expand to more terminals, propelling port digital transformation to new heights.
