CMA CGM officially launched its KEA service route, serving as a powerful complement to its existing RTW PAD product. This move positions the company as the sole carrier currently offering twice-weekly direct service on the U.S. East Coast–Oceania route. Southbound, the service covers major U.S. East Coast gateways including Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, and New York, with an import call at Tauranga, New Zealand. Northbound service extends to key Pacific nodes like Port Chalmers, further expanding regional coverage.

The route rotation sequence is: Philadelphia → Charleston → Balboa → Tauranga → Sydney → Melbourne → Port Chalmers → Tauranga → Manzanillo → Cartagena → returning to Philadelphia and Charleston. The maiden vessel “SPIRIT OF MELBOURNE” has commenced operations with confirmed ETAs for both northbound and southbound voyages. For instance, southbound voyage 0K201S1MA is scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia on March 17 and reach Tauranga on April 16.

For shippers prioritizing stability and timeliness on the East Coast-Australia/New Zealand route, the launch of the KEA service offers a more flexible, high-frequency alternative.
