COSCO Shipping Lines recently announced a comprehensive upgrade to its COSCO-CAP service, with the maiden voyage scheduled to depart from Yangpu Port in Hainan after January 1, 2026. It adds Guangzhou Nansha Port as a direct port of call and increases service frequency at Yangpu Port, establishing a bi-weekly service connecting South China directly to Northern Australia and the South Pacific region.

Regarding shipping routes, the Shanghai port call will be discontinued starting December 16. A new circular route—“Yangpu-Hong Kong-Nansha-Ningbo-Townsville-Brisbane-Leichhardt-Montauk-Darwin-Yangpu”—will officially commence in January 2026.
