Maersk has officially launched a new 165,000-square-foot trucking hub in Fontana, California. Equipped with 22 loading docks and initially operating with 18 vehicles, the facility supports 24/7 operations.

Located in the heart of the Inland Empire—the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area—the facility is just a 2.5-hour drive from the Ontario Corridor, reducing cargo turnaround times by up to 5 hours.

Strategically positioned near Interstates 10 and 15, with proximity to airports and rail connections, the Fontana hub efficiently links regional and interstate transportation, enhancing supply chain resilience.

Customers benefit from faster delivery times while also accessing Maersk's contract logistics parks in the Inland Empire for integrated warehousing and distribution services.

This new facility synergizes with Maersk's existing trucking hubs in Sacramento (SMF), San Francisco (SFO), San Diego (SAN), and Los Angeles (LAX), further expanding its California logistics network.

Bob Livingston, Head of Road Freight Operations at Maersk, stated: “This expansion in Fontana enhances our ability to provide customers with faster, more reliable solutions while leveraging the Inland Empire's strengths as a logistics powerhouse. It represents a strategic move to support customer growth and advance Maersk's integrated logistics vision.”

Currently, Maersk operates over 65 trucking facilities across North America, continuously connecting global trade routes through regional hubs to provide door-to-door services with a single point of contact.
